I am a Gurang woman through my Father and Warrgaman through my Mother

What is your role within the committee?

My role is as a committee member and advisor for language translation.

What made you want to get involved in NAIDOC events?

I am a Language Worker with the CQLC and the theme for NAIDOC is “Our Languages Matter”. My language knowledge would be valuable in making this NAIDOC an event to promote our Indigenous languages.

How long have you been a member of the NAIDOC committee?

What does NAIDOC mean to you?

NAIDOC is an annual celebration of our culture and an opportunity for our children and grandchildren to participate and have a greater understanding of their heritage.

I am passionate about reviving our Indigenous languages and look forward to them being taught in our schools.
